Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and personable Hair Stylist to join our vibrant salon team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hair styling and providing exceptional customer service. This role involves creating beautiful hair designs, maintaining a welcoming environment, and contributing to the overall client experience. The Hair Stylist will also engage in retail sales and front desk responsibilities to ensure smooth salon operations.
Duties
- Perform a variety of hair styling services including cuts, color, treatments, and special styles tailored to client preferences
- Consult with clients to understand their desired look and recommend suitable styles and products
- Maintain high standards of sanitation and cleanliness in all work areas and tools in compliance with health regulations
- Upsell retail products to clients that complement their treatments and enhance their overall experience
- Manage front desk tasks such as scheduling appointments, greeting clients, and processing payments
- Build strong relationships with clients through excellent communication skills and personalized service
- Keep up-to-date with the latest hair trends, techniques, and salon products to provide innovative services
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Hair Stylist or similar role in a salon environment
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse clients
- Knowledge of hair styling techniques, color application, and sanitation procedures
- Ability to upsell products confidently while maintaining professionalism
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with clients and team members
- Experience with retail sales and front desk operations is preferred but not required
- A valid cosmetology license or certification as required by state regulations
