Position Summary:
Join our dynamic team as a Kinesiologist, where you'll play a vital role in supporting patients, families, and caregivers on their journey to recovery.
Responsibilities:
Conduct 1:1 and group consultations before and after surgical procedures, ensuring patients are informed, prepared, and confident.
- Work closely with patients prior to surgeon consultations, providing tailored guidance and support.
- Triage patient needs and urgencies to ensure timely and appropriate interventions.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to deliver exceptional care and promote optimal patient outcomes.
- Perform a range of administrative tasks to ensure smooth clinic operations, including managing faxes, scanning, shredding, preparing dictation letters, photocopying, assembling patient information booklets, and supporting workflows for case managers, the management team, and surgeons.
- Handle third-party billing for form fees and product sales with accuracy and efficiency.
- Coordinate and set up patient education sessions as required, providing follow-up to ensure patient needs are met.
- Take on additional responsibilities as assigned to support the Alberta Hip and Knee Clinic’s commitment to delivering exceptional care and service.

Education
Kinesiology Degree
Experience
- Minimum 3 years in a medical clinic setting.
- Must be registered with AKA
- Solid understanding of the Health Information Act, patient privacy law and FIOP
- Solid skills in using software such as Microsoft Office
- Excellent understanding of Physician & RN instructions to patients in written format
- Experience using Accuro EMR is an Asset

Pay: $20.00-$21.00 per hour
