About LJ Welding Automation
At LJ Welding Automation, we don’t just build equipment; we lead the global market in welding automation technology. Our success is built on precision, and that precision extends all the way to how we package and dispatch our products.
We are looking for a sharp, proactive Shipper to take ownership of our outgoing goods, ensure our documentation is spot-on, and make sure every project leaves our facility safely and on schedule.
The Role
Are you the kind of person who notices the smallest discrepancy on a packing slip? Do you take pride in an operation that runs like a well-oiled machine? As our Shipper, you are the final line of quality control before our equipment heads out the door. You will be responsible for ensuring that all finished items, parts, and sub-assemblies are accurately picked, staged, safely packaged, and dispatched.
Your Day-to-Day
- Maintain high accuracy in checking part numbers and quantities for all outgoing goods.
- Perform visual inspections of outgoing items to ensure they match the order and are damage-free before dispatch.
- Pick, organize, stage, and safely package all items for projects.
- Ensure items stored in racking and the warehouse are safe, clearly labeled, and protected.
- Assist with the loading of delivery trucks and secure industrial loads properly and safely.
- Document Non-Conformance Reports when required and assist other departments as needed.
- Follow all LJ Welding safety procedures, specifically regarding heavy lifting and the securement of industrial loads.
What You Bring to the Table
- Previous shipping experience within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Valid forklift certification and a valid Class 5 driver's license (overhead crane operation experience is also a huge plus!).
- Proficiency with ERP and materials tracking systems with a knack for data accuracy.
- Experience handling oversized or heavy loads, alongside skill in using hand and power tools and precision measuring or testing equipment.
- A commitment to following all safety procedures and a safe, efficient approach to operating equipment.
- You are self-motivated, punctual, inquisitive, and possess exceptional attention to detail.
- You thrive under pressure, possess strong problem-solving skills, and can prioritize effectively.
