Job Summary
The AZ Driver will be responsible for the safe transportation of heavy equipment, construction materials, and machinery to various job sites throughout the GTA and surrounding areas. This is a physically active role that requires loading and unloading equipment, assisting on-site when needed, and maintaining company vehicles and equipment.
Responsibilities
- Safely transport excavators, forklifts, construction equipment, and materials to and from job sites.
- Load and unload heavy equipment and materials as required.
- Operate and haul equipment using flatbed trailers, including Heno 30 flatbeds.
- Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections.
- Complete material pickups and deliveries in a timely and professional manner.
- Assist with site work and general labour duties when required.
- Maintain cleanliness and basic upkeep of trucks and trailers.
- Report any maintenance or safety concerns promptly.
- Follow all company safety policies and MTO regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, supervisors, and site personnel.
Requirements
- Valid Ontario AZ Driver's Licence.
- Minimum 3 years of AZ driving experience.
- Experience operating flatbed trailers is required.
- Experience with Heno 30 Flatbeds is required.
- Strong knowledge of load securement and transportation safety practices.
- Ability to safely load, unload, and transport heavy equipment.
- Reliable vehicle for transportation to and from the yard in Markham.
- Clean driver's abstract and CVOR.
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality.
