Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of RPN experience
- Valid CPR/BLS certification
- Comfortable working in Acute Care and LTC settings
Unit Overview:
The Acute Care unit supports all patient admissions requiring inpatient care. Nurses will be responsible for providing care to a diverse patient population, including:
- Med/Surg
- Mental Health
- Pediatrics
- Cardiac
- ALC (Geriatric)
Responsibilities:
- Provide nursing care within the RPN scope of practice as outlined by the CNO
- Perform patient assessments and support ongoing care planning
- Provide direct patient care in Acute Care and LTC settings
- Assist with management of diverse patient populations across multiple specialties
- Participate in orientation and follow established facility protocols
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and communication with the healthcare team
Experience & Skills:
- Strong experience in acute care or similar hospital settings
- Familiarity with Meditech Expanse is considered an asset
- Proficient in medical terminology and clinical documentation
- Experience with medication administration and patient care procedures
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to prioritize and perform in a fast-paced environment
- Compassionate and patient-focused approach
