About the Role
D.L. Engineering Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented and self-motivated Facade Technologist to join our growing team.
The successful candidate will work closely with our Stone Department and Project Manager to produce high-quality connection details, shop drawings, and fabrication tickets for dimensional stone projects across North America using AutoCAD. Strong attention to detail is essential to ensure precision and accuracy at every stage of the work.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare stone connection details and fabrication drawings, including parts lists and quantity take-offs
- Create shop drawings and tickets for stone components
- Perform quality control through thorough self-checks and peer reviews
- Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in all drawings and documentation
- Manage personal workload efficiently to meet deadlines across multiple projects
- Collaborate effectively with team members while also working independently as needed
- Take on additional duties as required to support the department
Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in Architectural Technology, Certified Engineering Technology, or a related field from a recognized Canadian institution
- Experience with stone detailing, shop drawings, fabrication drawings, or production tickets is a strong asset
- Experience reading and interpreting architectural and structural drawings
- Fluent in English, both written and verbal

Required Skills
- Proficient in AutoCAD 2D; AutoCAD 3D and/or Revit is an asset
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, Adobe Acrobat, and/or Bluebeam
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality, accurate, and error-free work
- Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and communication skills
- Well-organized with effective time management abilities
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Professional, reliable, and able to meet deadlines
