Title: Maintenance Technician
Shift: 4:30 PM – 11:00 PM
Payrate: $40 – $45/hour
Location: Woodbridge
Employment Type: Full-time
Responsibilities:
- Maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and test bakery production and packaging equipment
- Perform preventative maintenance according to established schedules
- Diagnose equipment failures and replace worn or damaged components
- Support continuous production by minimizing downtime and improving equipment reliability
- Conduct inspections to ensure compliance with food safety and workplace safety standards
- Maintain Chemical Control Logs for food-grade and non-food-grade chemicals
- Ensure compliance with GMP, HACCP, and Health & Safety regulations
- Assist with sanitation processes, including equipment disassembly and reassembly
- Respond promptly to production-related equipment issues
- Participate in Health & Safety initiatives and committee activities
- Follow all safety procedures, including PPE, allergen control, and GMP requirements
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Requirments:
- Valid 442A Industrial Electrician License (required)
- Minimum 2+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or food production environment
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills
- Proven hands-on experience in a manufacturing setting (required)
- Experience with bakery equipment (mixers, dough dividers, proofers, ovens, packaging) is an asset
- Knowledge of GMP, HACCP, and workplace safety standards
- Technical diploma or certification in maintenance, millwright, or industrial mechanics is an asset
Working Conditions
- Fast-paced, high-volume bakery manufacturing environment
- Exposure to heat, cold, flour dust, and industrial noise
- Physically demanding role (lifting, bending, standing, walking)
- May require emergency response to equipment breakdowns
Pay: $40.00-$45.00 per hour
