Job Overview
We are seeking a knowledgeable and customer-focused Licensed Optician or soon to be optician to join our dynamic optical team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional service by assisting patients with frame selection, lens options, and fitting, ensuring a positive experience. This role requires a strong understanding of optical products, medical terminology, and retail sales operations. The Licensed Optician will play a vital role in maintaining high standards of patient care and operational efficiency within our practice.
Responsibilities
- Assist patients in selecting eyewear that suits their prescription, lifestyle, and personal style preferences
- Take precise measurements for lens fitting and ensure proper alignment of frames
- Educate patients on lens options, coatings, and optical care to facilitate informed decisions
- Verify prescriptions and interpret medical terminology related to eye health and vision correction
- Manage laboratory orders for lenses and ensure timely processing of eyewear production
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with privacy regulations
- Provide exceptional customer service in a retail environment, including upselling appropriate products and accessories
- Collaborate with optometrists and other team members to deliver comprehensive eye care services
- Stay updated on the latest optical products, industry trends, and technological advancements such as Epic software systems
Qualifications
- Valid state licensure as an Optician is required.
- Experience in retail sales or retail management .
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on customer satisfaction
- Ability to operate optical equipment accurately and efficiently
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems is a plus
- Proven ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while maintaining attention to detail
- knowledge of PUNJABI is must.

Pay: $20.00-$28.00 per hour
