Based in Sidney (expanding to Victoria) we are a team of 5 looking to add another skilled and motivated crew member. Our renovation company takes on a wide range of projects—from quick fence repairs to full interior overhauls. No two days are the same, and creative problem-solving is a must.
Position Summary: The Apprentice Carpenter / Renovation Assistant supports the renovation team in day-to-day tasks on job sites. This entry-level role is ideal for someone interested in developing trade skills in a hands-on environment. The Assistant works under the supervision of experienced renovators, gaining exposure to drywall, painting, flooring, tiling, and more.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with material handling, site setup, and cleanup.
- Perform demolition and prep work.
- Learn basic skills in drywall, flooring, painting, tiling, etc.
- Use hand and power tools.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Follow direction and support lead team members.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1-2 years experience in renovation specific trades or similar fields.
- Willingness to learn and take direction.
- Physically fit and capable of lifting, kneeling, and standing for extended periods.
- Basic tool knowledge (required).
- Valid driver's license (preferred).
- Background check (required).
- Reliable transportation to various job site locations (required).
