Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will support our team by providing exceptional patient care and ensuring smooth clinical operations. Experience with dental software and procedures, including cleardent, is highly valued. Duties
- Assist dentists during various dental procedures, including orthodontic treatments and pediatric dentistry.
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and setting up necessary supplies.
- Take and develop dental radiographs using CAD technology when needed.
- Manage patient records accurately using Epic and Dentrix software systems.
- Provide patient education on oral health care and post-treatment instructions.
- Ensure patient comfort and address any concerns during visits.
- Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing patient check-in/check-out, and coordinating with the dental receptionist team.
- Maintain strict adherence to infection control protocols and medical terminology standards.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in dental assisting preferred; certification in dental assisting is a plus.
- Knowledge of dental software systems such as Epic, Dentrix, and CAD is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with orthodontics, pediatrics, and general dentistry procedures.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology related to dentistry.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients of all ages.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Certification or training in dental assisting is preferred but not mandatory for entry-level candidates willing to learn on the job.
