This role operates on dayshift (M-F, 7:00am-3:30pm).
What You’ll Do
Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the successful candidate as part of the CNC department will help set up and operate our 5 Axis Router equipment, providing the department with greater flexibility to handle an increasing workload and aggressive short deadlines.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Perform CNC Operations:
- Conduct all set-up and quality operations in support of machining for self and others. Set up and operate machines in accordance with process sheets and any other required paperwork (i.e. drawings, specifications, etc.)
- Load, verify, and execute CNC programs from system files; make minor edits as required under supervision.
- Use manufacturing paperwork (travelers, drawings, sketches, etc.) to:
- Manufacture product that meets quality requirements
- Meet time and schedule standards for assigned work
- Correctly process work via required paperwork and MRP system
- Advise supervision of issues that arise
- Perform non-CNC tasks when necessary: non-CNC equipment operation, hand-work operations, inspections, saw-cut operations, etc.
- Identify set-up reduction opportunities and communicate to supervision.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and be available for overtime as required.
- Other related duties as assigned
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Qualifications:
- CNC setup and operation experience required; multi-axis router experience is an asset
- Fanuc controller experience an asset
- Ability to follow process sheets, work instructions, and measure to defined tolerances using standard inspection tools
- Manual machining experience is an asset
- Experience working with composites an asset
- Flexible to work overtime if required
- Flexible to work alternate shifts (days/afternoons, etc.)

Pay: $28.00-$32.00 per hour
