Overview
X-Spect Oilfield NDT Ltd. is seeking an experienced and motivated NDT Drill Pipe Inspector / Shop Foreman to join our team in Nisku, Alberta. This role combines hands-on NDT inspection duties with shop leadership responsibilities. The successful candidate will take pride in quality workmanship, safety, and teamwork while helping ensure efficient daily shop operations and accurate inspection services for our customers.
Responsibilities
- Perform NDT inspections on drill pipe and BHA components.
- Conduct visual inspections and ensure all work meets industry standards.
- Complete inspection reports and related documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
- Supervise daily shop operations and coordinate workflow to maximize efficiency.
- Lead and support shop personnel while promoting a strong safety culture.
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with company procedures.
- Ensure inspection reports and documentation are completed accurately
- Maintain inspection equipment and ensure proper shop cleanliness and organization.
- Communicate effectively with customers, management, and crew members.
- Assist in maintaining a productive, organized, and professional work environment.
Qualifications
- ASNT or CGSB Level II certification in MT/PT/ UT/ EMI
- Experience performing drill pipe and BHA inspections.
- Leadership or foreman experience is considered a strong asset.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid driver's license required
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
