Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Gardener to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for horticulture and landscape maintenance, with a strong understanding of gardening practices. This role offers an opportunity to work outdoors in a dynamic environment, contributing to the beauty and health of our landscaped areas.
Duties
- Maintain and care for gardens, lawns, and landscaped areas through planting, pruning, weeding, and mulching
- Operate hand tools such as shovels, rakes, pruners, and hoes to perform various gardening tasks
- Use power tools including lawn mowers, trimmers, blowers, and hedge cutters for landscape upkeep
- Implement irrigation systems and ensure proper watering schedules to promote healthy plant growth
- Perform landscape maintenance activities such as edging, fertilizing, and soil aeration
- Monitor plant health and identify pests or diseases for appropriate treatment or reporting
- Assist with seasonal planting and removal of plants as needed
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas and ensure safety protocols are followed during all activities
Requirements
- Proven experience in gardening, horticulture, or landscape maintenance preferred
- Familiarity with hand tools and power tools used in landscaping tasks
- Knowledge of irrigation systems and water management practices
- Ability to perform physical tasks including bending, lifting, digging, and standing for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to landscape care
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Basic understanding of plant care principles and pest management strategies
