Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Sheet Metal Worker/Helper to join our construction and restoration team. This role involves assisting with the installation, fabrication, and repair of sheet metal components across various projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn, and experience or interest in construction-related tasks. This position offers opportunities to develop skills in blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and various construction trades.
Duties
- Assist in measuring, cutting, and shaping sheet metal materials using hand tools and power tools
- Support the installation of ductwork, roofing, siding, and other sheet metal components in construction sites
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate fabrication and installation
- Perform basic carpentry tasks related to framing or support structures as needed
- Apply caulking and sealing techniques to ensure weatherproofing and insulation integrity
- Assist with restoration projects, including surface preparation and finishing work such as painting or tile laying
- Support plumbing and welding tasks when required for project completion
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety standards at all times
Requirements
- Experience with hand tools, construction, carpentry, or related trades is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for motivated candidates
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical instructions accurately
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols on job sites
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Physical ability to lift heavy materials and perform manual tasks for extended periods
- Prior experience or familiarity with restoration work and construction site clean up

Pay: $18.00-$25.00 per hour
