Job Title: Travelling Handyman/General Contractor

Travel Requirement: 100% (Travelling between 25 locations)
About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled, reliable, and highly mobile Handyman/General Contractor to undertake upkeep, repair tasks and renovation across our 25 and growing locations in Canada. Our lcoations are retail stores from 200 to 5000 sq ft and warehouse production facilities with footage of 4000 to 12,000 sq ft. You will travel between sites, renovating and carrying out maintenance, diagnosing issues, and ensuring our facilities remain safe, functional, and well-maintained. We exect that you work as General Contractor for larger jobs hiring trades and general help and do small tasks yourself.
Key Responsibilities:
- General Maintenance: Perform general repairs including fixing leaky faucets, patching drywall, assembling furniture, and repairing doors or windows
- Electrical & Plumbing: Handle basic electrical tasks and plumbing.
- Painting & Carpentry: Complete interior/exterior painting, caulking, and trim.
- General Contracting: Find trades and general help to organize renovation and repair to be in budget and on time.
- Travel Logistics: Drive/Fly to various job sites, within Canada. We expect that you will use RV trailer and truck to be on site.
- Assessments: Identify and report the need for major maintenance or repairs to management and assess the budget for the project.
- Organization: Keep accurate records of completed work, parts used, and submit receipts/time sheets promptly.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in handyman services or general contracting.
- Skills: Strong working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and HVAC systems. Framing, trim work, drywall installation, taping, patching, and painting.
- Licensing: Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Specialty licenses are an asset.
- Certificates: Working at Heights (WAH) certification. Basic health and safety awareness certification. WHMIS: Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System i
- Tools: Must provide own basic hand and power tools.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift at least 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and work in varying weather conditions.
- Soft Skills: Trustworthy with the ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and communicate professionally with staff.
