Overview
We are seeking a friendly and experienced Bartender to join our vibrant hospitality team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for serving guests, excellent customer service skills, and a strong knowledge of food and beverage operations. Prior restaurant experience and familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS are highly valued. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and serving drinks, managing cash handling, and ensuring food safety standards are maintained throughout their shift.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with standard recipes and customer preferences
- Engage with guests in a friendly, professional manner to enhance their dining experience
- Operate POS systems efficiently, including Micros POS, for order entry and cash handling
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards
- Manage cash transactions accurately, including processing payments and giving correct change
- Restock bar supplies as needed to ensure smooth service during shifts
- Monitor guest behavior to promote responsible alcohol service and prevent over-serving
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate food and beverage orders when necessary
- Follow all food safety protocols related to food handling and hygiene standards
- Demonstrate excellent time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during busy periods
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment preferred, especially in bartending roles
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures
- Basic math skills for cashiering, cash handling, and calculating bills or tips accurately
- Excellent time management abilities to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced setting
- Ability to serve alcohol responsibly while adhering to legal requirements and company policies
- Hospitality background is a plus, demonstrating professionalism and teamwork orientation
- Must be at least 21 years old (if applicable based on local regulations)
