The Cremona and District Agricultural Society is now accepting applications for the role of Arena Operator. This will be a seasonal full-time position August 1, 2026 until March 31, 2027, with potential for employment into and through summer, 2027.
The Arena Operator is in charge of the preparation and maintenance of the ice surface, and for the maintenance, operation and cleaning of the ice arena including the grounds around the facility. Additionally, the Arena Operator is responsible for scheduling rentals of the facility.
The Arena Operator reports to the board of directors of the Ag Society, and is responsible for training, scheduling and monitoring up to four other employees (paid by the Ag Society) to assist in the completion of all of the required tasks.
The successful candidate will be attentive and well organized with an attention to detail, possess an Arena Operator 1 certification, have a mechanical aptitude, some computer knowledge and an ability to work with a variety of volunteers, and generate a good rapport with facility patrons.
