Bilingual French & English Tutor | In-Person | Edmonton & Area
Tutor Teach is growing, and we’re looking for passionate, reliable, and engaging bilingual (English/French) tutors to join our team!
We provide personalized academic support to students across Edmonton and surrounding communities through one-on-one tutoring sessions. We are currently seeking tutors who are confident supporting students in both French and English settings.
Position Overview
As a Tutor Teach instructor, you will work directly with students to build confidence, strengthen academic skills, and create a positive learning experience tailored to each learner’s needs. We are especially interested in tutors who can support:
- French Immersion Grade 1-12 students in core subjects (Language Arts, Science, Math, Social Studies)
- This is a flexible, part-time opportunity ideal for university students, education students, teachers, or experienced tutors, retired teachers, etc looking for meaningful work.
Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging one-on-one tutoring sessions in French and/or English
- Support students with homework, assignments, exam preparation, and skill development
- Adapt teaching strategies to suit different learning styles
- Communicate professionally with families and the Tutor Teach team
- Track session progress and student goals
- Travel to student homes, libraries, schools, or agreed-upon public locations for in-person sessions
Qualifications
- Strong fluency in both French and English
- In pursuit of, or holds, a Bachelor of Education, Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Commerce, Bachelor of Kinesiology, or relevant post-secondary education or certification
- Previous tutoring, teaching, mentoring, childcare, or educational experience preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel within Edmonton and surrounding areas (Sherwood Park, Beaumont, St Albert, Fort Saskatchewan, Spruce Grove)
- Organized, dependable, and professional
- Currently enrolled in or completed post-secondary education is considered an asset
