We are seeking a compassionate Spanish-speaking Counsellor/Psychotherapist to join our clinical team. The clinician will provide psychotherapy services to refugee and newcomer clients, with clients ranging from children and adolescents to adults.
Supervision will be provided. This role is best suited for someone who is culturally sensitive, trauma-informed, and comfortable supporting clients who may be experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, adjustment difficulties, and settlement-related challenges.
Duties
- Provide individual psychotherapy to refugee and newcomer clients
- Work with clients across different age groups, including children, adolescents, and adults
- Use trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and client-centred therapeutic approaches
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Develop treatment plans based on clients’ needs and therapy goals
- Maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries
- Collaborate with the clinic team as needed to support client care
Qualifications
- Relevant education in psychotherapy, counselling, psychology, social work, or a related field
- Fluency in Spanish is required
- Ability to provide compassionate, ethical, and culturally sensitive care
- Strong communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills
Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
