Matrix HR is currently recruiting an experienced Foreman for large-scale mining and heavy civil construction projects with Our Client. This position is suited for a proven leader with experience managing crews, equipment, safety, and production in fast-paced construction environments.
Opportunities are available at remote open-pit gold mine sites in Lynn Lake, Manitoba and Dubreuilville.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise operators, labourers, and field crews
- Coordinate manpower, equipment, and production activities
- Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to schedule
- Conduct daily toolbox meetings and work planning sessions
- Monitor productivity, quality, and site performance
- Work closely with project management and site leadership
Qualifications
- Minimum 3+ years of experience as a Foreman or in a senior field leadership role
- Experience in heavy civil construction, mining, haul road construction, earthworks, dam projects, tailings facilities, pit mining, or drill and blast operations
- Proven experience managing crews and coordinating multiple pieces of equipment
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Valid Driver's License required
- Previous remote camp experience is considered an asset
Mandatory Requirements
- Candidates must be willing and able to work BOTH day and night shifts. Shifts alternate every 20-day rotation and are a condition of employment.
- Must be able to work a 20 Days On / 10 Days Off rotational schedule
- Must be able to pass a Criminal Record Check
- Must be able to pass a Drug & Alcohol Test, including marijuana
- Must hold a valid Driver's License
