Summary
This front-line position provides direct supports to adults with developmental disabilities to live their best life in either a residential or outreach setting. A driver's license and vehicle for work purposes is required.
Responsibilities
- Support people with daily living activities such as personal care and meal preparation
- Support people to access the community and activities, outings, and social events
- Implement individualized care plans tailored to each person’s needs and goals
- Promote independence by encouraging skill development and self-advocacy
- Maintain accurate documentation of services provided and progress
- Foster respectful relationships built on trust, empathy, and encouragement
- Collaborate with team members, families, and community partners to ensure holistic support
We Offer:
CAFCL offers 1 week on and 1 week off schedules. A majority of the hours are evenings, including sleepovers. We value a healthy workplace culture where we support home/work life balance, positive relationships and a sense of belonging where you have the opportunity to do what you do best.
Experience
- Previous experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred
- Strong communication skills with the ability to connect positively with diverse populations
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team
- Flexibility to adapt to changing needs and priorities in a dynamic environment
- Knowledge of community resources and support services is an asset

Pay: $19.00-$22.48 per hour
