Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Retail Appliance Sales Associate to join our team. Duties
- Greet customers warmly and identify their appliance needs through active listening and consultation
- Conduct product demonstrations to showcase appliance features and benefits effectively
- Assist customers with product selection, upselling additional items or accessories to maximize sales opportunities
- Operate POS systems accurately for transactions, including cash handling and processing payments
- Maintain organized merchandise displays and ensure products are well-stocked and appealing
- Provide knowledgeable assistance on appliance specifications, usage tips, and technical details
- Handle customer inquiries via phone or in person with professionalism and courtesy
- Manage time efficiently to serve multiple customers during busy periods while maintaining high service standards
- Support merchandising efforts by organizing displays and ensuring cleanliness of the sales floor
Requirements
- Proven experience in retail sales, preferably in technology or appliance sectors
- Strong communication skills, including phone etiquette and active listening abilities
- Bilingual or multilingual skills are a plus to serve a diverse customer base effectively
- Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately and managing cash registers (POS systems)
- Customer service-oriented mindset with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Organizational skills to manage product displays, inventory, and sales documentation
- Ability to perform product demos confidently and explain technical features clearly
- Knowledge of merchandising principles and sales techniques such as upselling and cross-selling
- Flexibility to work during retail hours, including weekends if necessary
- Previous experience with cashiering, cash handling, or POS systems is preferred
