We require a veterinary assistant/office administrator in our specialty dermatology clinic in View Royal, Victoria. This multifaceted role combines the administration of this location and our Vancouver location while also performing veterinary assistant duties alongside the doctor and technician.

As your direct supervisor is based at our Vancouver location, the successful candidate must be self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently with minimal supervision. The ability to work effectively both as part of a team and independently is essential.
Previous experience in veterinary assisting, veterinary administration/reception, and the Cornerstone practice management system are considered strong assets. Candidates with a combination of clinical and administrative veterinary experience will be given preference.
Duties include:
- Updating and maintaining schedules and appointment templates within the Cornerstone practice management system
- Scheduling appointments
- Answering phone calls and responding to emails
- Managing incoming referrals and coordinating communication with referring clinics
- Relaying treatment plans, medication schedules, and doctor recommendations to clients
- Maintaining and updating clinic protocols and procedure manuals
- Assisting doctor and technician with appointments and basic procedures, including blood draws, ear cleanings, and laboratory work as needed
- Monitoring and managing inventory levels and supply orders
- Acting as a liaison between clients and doctors as directed by management
- Preparing and maintaining basic documents, spreadsheets, and reports using Microsoft Word and Excel
- Providing administrative and operational support for miscellaneous projects as assigned by management and doctors
- Assisting with general clinic operations and troubleshooting day-to-day technology issues as needed
- Providing cross-coverage for team members during absences, vacation, or illness
- Maintain clinic cleaning protocols
