Job Overview
We are looking for a Junior Buyer who possesses a solid understanding of purchasing processes and supply chain fundamentals to join our procurement team. The Junior Buyer will collaborate closely with suppliers and internal departments to ensure the timely acquisition of materials and services, contributing to the overall efficiency of our operations.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Prepare and issue purchase orders in SAP for raw materials, hardware, and services.
- Gather specifications and documentation required for supplier submittals.
- Process non-stock item purchase requisitions in Business Visions.
- Create purchase orders for vendor-managed inventory (VMI) items.
- Source, solicit, evaluate, and assist in selecting supplier quotes and proposals.
- Track and manage open purchase orders, delivery dates, and schedules to ensure alignment with production requirements.
- Maintain ongoing communication with Engineering, Production, Operations, and Sales Support regarding job completion and delivery timelines.
- Administer and maintain supplier non-conformance reports.
- Support corrective and preventative action activities related to supplier performance.
- Request MSDS documentation for hazardous materials and review with Health & Safety prior to ordering.
- Ensure compliance with purchasing policies, procedures, regulations, and applicable laws.
- Participate in Continuous Improvement teams and activities; identify opportunities and support solution-based initiatives.
- Maintain accurate purchasing records, documentation, and audit trails.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support efficient company operations.

Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in supply chain management preferred.
- 1–3 years of related experience in purchasing or an equivalent administrative function, ideally in a manufacturing environment.

Pay: $60,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
