JOB DESCRIPTION
BRENRIC CONSTRUCTION LTD. is a family-oriented, culture-focused construction management company serving the Greater Victoria, BC region since 1983. We’re looking for a motivated Junior Carpenter to join our team and grow with us.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their carpentry career who is eager to learn, develop their skills, and gain hands-on experience in commercial interior renovations.
OVERVIEW
As a Junior Carpenter with Brenric, you will work alongside experienced carpenters while building your technical skills and trade knowledge. This is a full-time, Monday–Friday position in primarily indoor commercial renovation environments throughout Victoria.
You’ll move between job sites, gaining exposure to a variety of projects and connecting with different members of our community. You’ll assist with carpentry tasks and general labour responsibilities while developing the confidence to take on more responsibility over time.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist senior carpenters with door, window, and hardware installs
- Support framing, backing, drywalling, sheathing, and millwork assembly
- Perform minor demolition and site preparation
- Take measurements and assist with material calculations
- Organize and move materials, complete dump runs, and assist with deliveries
- Operate and maintain hand and power tools safely
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site
- Support subcontractors and suppliers as directed
REQUIREMENTS
- Some hands-on experience in carpentry or construction (formal apprenticeship or equivalent experience considered an asset)
- Basic proficiency with hand and power tools
- Ability and willingness to learn how to read blueprints and technical drawings
- Strong physical capability for lifting, moving materials, and working on active job sites
- Commitment to following safety guidelines at all times
- Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle
