Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated students to join our team as Tourist Guides and Summer Maintenance Assistants. These positions offer a unique opportunity to engage with visitors, showcase local attractions, and contribute to the upkeep of our sites during the busy summer months. Ideal candidates are energetic, responsible, and possess excellent communication skills. Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly valued to enhance visitor experience. This is a paid position designed to provide valuable work experience, develop leadership skills, and foster community engagement.
Duties
- Providing engaging and informative commentary about the site’s history and significance
- Assist with general maintenance tasks such as cleaning, landscaping, and minor repairs to ensure the site remains welcoming and safe
- Interact with visitors in a friendly and professional manner, addressing questions and providing excellent customer service
- Manage time effectively to ensure tasks are completed efficiently
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate schedules and ensure all duties are performed effectively
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled as a student, with availability during summer months
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to manage time effectively
- Leadership qualities with a proactive attitude towards assisting others and taking initiative
- Reliable, responsible, and able to work independently as well as part of a team
Pay: $17.00-$18.00 per hour
