Overview
We are seeking a professional and organized Paramedical Clinic Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for patients and visitors, ensuring a smooth and efficient front desk operation. This role requires excellent communication skills, familiarity with medical and dental office procedures, and the ability to manage electronic medical records with accuracy. Prior experience in medical or dental office settings is highly preferred, along with proficiency in office management systems such as Epic and Dentrix. The Paramedical Clinic Receptionist plays a vital role in maintaining a welcoming environment while supporting clinical staff with administrative tasks.
Duties
- Greet patients and visitors warmly upon arrival, providing a professional first impression
- Manage multi-line phone systems to schedule appointments, answer inquiries, and relay messages
- Verify patient information and update electronic medical records accurately using Epic and Dentrix systems
- Assist with check-in and check-out procedures, ensuring all necessary documentation is completed
- Coordinate appointment scheduling for both medical and dental services, optimizing clinic flow
- Handle administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and managing correspondence
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Support clinical staff by preparing patient charts and assisting with basic administrative needs
- Ensure the reception area remains clean, organized, and welcoming at all times
Skills
- Proficiency in electronic medical records systems such as Epic and Dentrix
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology relevant to both medical and dental practices
- Previous experience as a Dental Receptionist or in a Medical Office setting preferred
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients, staff, and insurance providers
- Ability to operate multi-line phone systems efficiently
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for accurate record keeping
- Familiarity with office equipment and administrative procedures in healthcare environments
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining professionalism and composure
- Experience working with electronic health records (EHR) systems is highly desirable
