Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Construction Labourer to join our dynamic team. This role involves assisting with various construction projects, supporting skilled trades, and ensuring the smooth progress of building and renovation tasks. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn, and the ability to perform physically demanding tasks in a fast-paced environment. Prior experience with hand tools, carpentry, or blueprint reading is a plus but not mandatory; training will be provided for specific skills such as schematics, restoration, or flooring installation. Responsibilities
- Assist with general construction tasks including material handling, site cleanup, and preparation of work areas
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently under supervision
- Support carpentry activities such as framing, drywall installation, or tile laying
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to assist with project planning and execution
- Perform caulking, painting, plumbing, welding, and flooring installation as needed
- Aid in restoration projects by preparing surfaces and applying finishing techniques
- Follow safety protocols at all times to maintain a secure work environment
- Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and quality standards
Requirements
- Prior experience or familiarity with construction sites is preferred but not required; willingness to learn new skills is essential
- Ability to use hand tools and basic construction equipment safely
- Knowledge of carpentry, blueprint reading, schematics, or restoration techniques is advantageous
- Physical stamina to perform demanding tasks including lifting heavy materials and standing for extended periods
- Strong work ethic with attention to detail and safety compliance
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Valid <PERSON> (if applicable) or willingness to obtain necessary certifications or licenses for specific tasks such as plumbing or welding
