Overview
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting goods to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining excellent customer service. This role requires a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and professionalism, with opportunities to utilize skills in forklift operation, freight handling, and vehicle maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate delivery vehicles to transport goods to customers and distribution centers
- Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or hand trucks
- Ensure accurate delivery of products by verifying orders and delivery documentation
- Maintain the cleanliness and safety of the vehicle and delivery equipment
- Conduct routine inspections of vehicles and report any mechanical issues promptly
- Navigate routes efficiently using GPS or maps to meet delivery schedules
- Assist with inventory management and proper handling of heavy equipment or freight as needed
- Provide excellent customer service by interacting professionally with clients during deliveries
Experience
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) preferred but not required for all positions
- Experience operating forklifts, heavy equipment, or other industrial machinery is a plus
- Background in freight handling or logistics is advantageous
- Automotive repair knowledge is beneficial for basic vehicle maintenance tasks
- Prior experience in commercial driving or delivery services is preferred but not mandatory
