Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Shingler/Labourer to join our construction team. This role involves assisting with roofing projects and general labor tasks on-site. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, physical stamina, and a willingness to learn and contribute to a dynamic construction environment. Prior experience in shingle roofing work, working at heights or construction is a plus but not mandatory. This position offers an opportunity to develop skills in roofing and construction while contributing to quality craftsmanship.
Responsibilities
- Assist with shingling and roofing installation according to project specifications
- Use hand tools such as hammers, saws, and other basic construction tools
- Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely and efficiently
- Follow project plans to ensure accurate installation
- Support tasks including framing, trimming, and caulking as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized worksite to promote safety and efficiency
- Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and quality standards
- Perform general labor duties such as moving materials, preparing sites, and cleaning up after work
Skills
- Proficiency with hand tools used in construction, nail guns
- Experience or familiarity with construction sites and roofing processes
- Knowledge of caulking techniques for sealing joints and seams
- Physical strength for heavy lifting and prolonged periods of manual labor
- Handyman experience is advantageous for versatile task performance
- Strong teamwork skills, attention to detail, and safety awareness

Pay: $19.48-$30.00 per hour
