We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Cook/Dishwasher to join our team. Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and assist with meal preparation according to recipes and standards
- Cook food items efficiently while maintaining quality and presentation
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and properly
- Handle food safely, adhering to all food safety regulations and procedures
- Maintain cleanliness of dishes, utensils, and kitchen surfaces
- Wash dishes, pots, pans, and other kitchenware promptly to ensure availability for ongoing service
- Assist with inventory management by organizing supplies and notifying management of shortages
- Support the kitchen team during busy periods to ensure timely meal service
- Follow health and safety guidelines at all times to ensure a safe working environment
Skills
- Experience in serving, food preparation, or cooking within a restaurant or food service environment is preferred
- Knowledge of food handling procedures and food safety standards
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with staff members
- Basic understanding of kitchen equipment operation and maintenance
- Flexibility to work various shifts as needed, including weekends or holidays if required
- Prior experience in the food industry or restaurant experience is advantageous but not mandatory for motivated learners
