The youth will assist ACTS in researching cultural content and translating materials for its festivals and programs. This role involves exploring diverse cultural narratives, creating content for programming, and ensuring accessibility through translation, contributing to the success of ACTS’s community arts initiatives.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Conduct research on cultural themes and narratives to support festival programming.
- Assist in developing content for exhibitions, performances, and workshops based on research findings.
- Translate program materials and promotional content into relevant languages to ensure accessibility.
- Collaborate with the programming team to integrate research and translations into festival activities.
- Prepare summaries and reports of research findings and translated materials.
- Support the development of inclusive content that resonates with diverse audiences.
Required Qualifications:
- Strong research, analytical, and content development skills.
- Proficiency in English and at least one additional language relevant to ACTS’s programming (e.g., French, Mandarin, Punjabi, or others).
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Proficiency in Google Suite and familiarity with translation tools.
- Interest in cultural programming and community engagement.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
