HIRING - Experienced Derrickhand
Amped Energy Services Ltd. is hiring an experienced Derrickhand (Rod Rig) to join our growing team.
We specialize in oilfield well servicing across Alberta, operating rod rigs, gripper units, flushbys, hot oilers, and service rigs.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle tubing, rods, and drill string during tripping operations
- Work in the derrick guiding and stacking pipe
- Assist with drilling fluid and circulation systems
- Support the Driller and communicate with the rig crew
- Assist with rig-up, rig-down, and rig moves
- Perform basic equipment checks and minor maintenance
- Maintain a clean and safe worksite
- Follow all safety procedures and job instructions
Qualifications
- 1–2 years’ service or rod rig experience preferred
- Valid driver’s license (Class 3 is an asset)
- CSO, H2S Alive, First Aid, and Fall Protection required
- Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces
- Physically fit (able to lift up to 50 lbs)
- Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Strong safety mindset and teamwork skills
- Flexible availability for shift work and out-of-town work
