We are seeking a Sommelier to join our small michelin recognized team! You will be responsible for providing customers with a memorable dining experience. This is an all encompassing position due to the size of our restaurant. The focus will obviously be on the wine/beverage program but you must be willing and able to help out where is needed ie: polishing, clearing, pouring, greeting and taking payment. This position's main responsibility is making sure that service runs as smooth and professional up to the highest standard as possible and that our guests are comfortable and enjoy their experience.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate wine program
- Oversee guest services and resolve issues
- Ensure a high quality of service
- Train and manage FOH Staff
- Create and adjust staff schedules to meet restaurant needs
- Set up/clean the restaurant for service
- Greet and seat guests
- Take payment and help close the restaurant.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Sommelier in fine dining
- Strong leadership qualities
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent written and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- No ego
- Focus on Biodynamic and Organic Wine
- Able to Curate a small but powerful wine and beverage program
- Basic Cocktail knowledge
