About the Role
We are seeking an organized and detail-driven Production Coordinator to keep our stone fabrication shop running on schedule and to standard. Acting as the link between the production floor and management, you will oversee the flow of jobs through each department, safeguard quality and safety, and maintain the records that drive continuous improvement. This role suits a methodical person who is comfortable holding a team to process and performs well in a fast-paced fabrication environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the flow of jobs through each department in line with the production schedule, confirming the correct job is at the correct stage and that each slab matches its assigned cutting program
- Flag jobs that fall behind or out of sequence the same day, along with the cause and corrective action
- Log and track all recuts, ensuring every report is complete before replacement material is cut, and report patterns by employee, department, or job type
- Monitor output against each department's quality standard, stopping and resolving issues as they arise
- Participate in the Health & Safety Committee, deliver safety onboarding to new production staff, and confirm sign-off before unsupervised equipment use
- Coordinate mandatory equipment inspections for fire extinguishers, cranes, and forklifts
- Release and track production consumables against each job, and notify management promptly when stock runs low
- Address unsafe behaviour on the floor and submit end-of-shift status reports covering jobs completed, jobs behind, recuts, and safety issues
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience coordinating or supervising production in a manufacturing or fabrication setting (stone or countertop industry a strong asset)
- Solid understanding of production scheduling and workflow management
- Working knowledge of Ontario health and safety requirements; Joint Health and Safety Committee experience an asset
- Comfortable using production scheduling and inventory software
- Strong organizational skills and disciplined, accurate record-keeping
- Confident communicator who can hold a team to process and quality standards
- Methodical problem-solver with a sharp eye for quality
- Able to work on the shop floor, including standing for extended periods

Pay: $65,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
