Now Hiring: Table Games Manager – Deerfoot Inn & Casino
Step into a leadership role at one of Calgary’s top gaming destinations. Deerfoot Inn & Casino is seeking a skilled and motivated Table Games Manager to oversee operations, lead a high-performing team, and deliver an exceptional guest experience. This position reports directly to the Casino General Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operation of the Table Games department
- Work scheduled Games Manager shifts (20 hours/week), including Manager on Duty responsibilities
- Monitor table activity and enhance game security
- Track player win/loss and keep the Casino General Manager informed
- Ensure compliance with DFIC and AGLC policies and procedures; liaise with AGLC
- Recommend and implement policy and procedure improvements
- Stay informed on market trends and competitor activity
- Communicate regularly with the Casino General Manager on all aspects of the department
- Manage purchasing, supplies, and equipment
- Prepare and manage departmental budgets
- Complete payroll edits and administrative duties
- Resolve guest and staff disputes professionally and efficiently
Leadership & Team Development:
- Foster a positive, team-oriented work environment
- Lead hiring, onboarding, discipline, and performance management
- Conduct staff scheduling, meetings, and performance reviews
- Maintain and update employee manuals and training programs
- Ensure proper staffing levels, including organizing dealer training courses when needed
- Promote a culture of strong hospitality and guest service excellence
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 10 years experience in the gaming industry (5 as a Games Manager)
- Proven leadership experience in table games operations
- Strong knowledge of casino procedures and AGLC regulations
- Excellent communication, decision-making, and organizational skills
- Must have a clear criminal record
- Must successfully complete an AGLC due diligence check
