We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Accounts Receivable Administrator to support our fast-paced Property Management Team. We specialize in property management services to law firms, lenders, financial institutions, and other professional clients throughout Ontario. This is a Administrative role reporting directly to VP Accounting & Administration and will play a critical part in improving collections, reducing aged receivables, and strengthening our financial operations.
Responsibilities
- Assisting in preparing invoicing and billing functions.
- Oversee accounts receivable and collections activities.
- Monitor aging reports and collection performance metrics.
- Develop and implement collection strategies and policies.
- Communicate with clients regarding outstanding accounts and payment arrangements.
- Resolve billing discrepancies and account disputes.
- Prepare weekly and monthly cash flow and receivables reports.
- Collaborate with account managers and senior management to improve processes.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable regulations.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in accounts receivable, billing, and collections management.
- Proven ability to manage complex receivable portfolios.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience leading and developing staff.
- Advanced proficiency with accounting and Sage, systems.
- Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field.
- Professional accounting designation (CPA) is an asset but not required.
You are highly organized, results-oriented, and comfortable managing significant receivable balances. You understand how to balance strong collections practices with maintaining positive client relationships. You are capable of working independently and providing leadership in a fast-paced business environment.

This is a hybrid position in Markham, Ontario.
Hours: Monday to Friday 8:00 am - 4:30 pm
Pay: $23.00-$28.00 per hour
