Job Descriptions and Responsibilities
- Foods, Natural Health Products and Environmental Samples testing as per Health Canada Standard Methods, USP, FDA and FSIS.
- Water Samples testing (Membrane Filtration, MPN)
- Preparation of , Media, nutrient broths, diluents and stock solutions as directed in the manufacturer’s specifications.
- Documentation and records keeping
- Preparation of media for water analysis and completion of associated QC records.
- Participation in Proficiency Testing (PT) samples testing
- Participation in daily QC tasks
- Participation in training and cross-training
- Participate in the investigation process as required by Quality Assurance
- Participation in the Laboratory opening and closing on daily base
- Other duties assigned by the laboratory manager
What you bring:
- Bachelor/Diploma in Microbiology/Biotechnology
- Minimum 1 year recent related work experience in a laboratory is strictly required
- Availability on weekend and for overtime work is required
This position has at least three months probationary period
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour
