Countryside Kennel is a busy, reputable boarding and daycare facility that provides safe, structured, and compassionate care for dogs and cats. We are looking for a reliable and caring individual to join our team as a Kennel Attendant.
Position Overview:
The Kennel Attendant is responsible for ensuring all pets receive excellent care and that our facility remains clean, organized, and welcoming. This position involves hands-on work with animals, cleaning, feeding, and supporting daily kennel routines.
Responsibilities:
Supervise, feed, and care for dogs and cats in boarding and daycare.
Clean and disinfect kennels, play areas, and feeding stations.
Monitor behavior and assist in safe social play rotations.
Handle non-social or working dogs with care and control.
Administer medications and follow feeding/health instructions accurately.
Maintain labeling, notes, and charts for each guest.
Support team members and maintain a positive, productive work environment.
Requirements:
Must be available weekends, holidays, and varying shifts (morning, mid-day, and afternoon).
Comfortable handling dogs of all sizes and temperaments.
Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods.
Dependable, punctual, and able to work in a fast-paced setting.
Team player with a positive, professional attitude.
Previous kennel, daycare, or animal care experience is an asset (training provided).
Hours & Compensation:
Part-time (18-36 hours/week) to start, with potential for full-time.
Weekend and holiday availability required.
