Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Dental Administrator to oversee the daily operations of our dental practice. The ideal candidate will possess strong administrative skills, experience with dental and medical office procedures, and the ability to manage various office functions efficiently. This role is essential in ensuring smooth clinic operations, excellent patient service, and compliance with healthcare regulations. Prior experience with dental software such as Dentrix and familiarity with electronic medical records are highly valued. The Dental Administrator will also support human resources functions and assist in managing office budgets, contributing to a professional and welcoming environment for both staff and patients.
Duties
- Manage patient scheduling, billing, and insurance claims using Dentrix or similar dental management software
- Oversee front desk operations, including patient check-in/out, appointment confirmations, and patient inquiries
- Maintain accurate electronic medical records and ensure compliance with privacy regulations
- Supervise administrative staff, providing training and support to ensure efficient workflow
- Coordinate human resources activities such as staffing schedules, onboarding new employees, and performance evaluations
- Assist in budgeting processes, monitor office expenses, and optimize resource allocation
- Ensure adherence to healthcare regulations and standards related to dental practice operations
- Support clinical staff by managing supply inventories and maintaining equipment records
- Handle correspondence, phone calls, and other administrative communications professionally
Experience
- Proven experience working in a dental or medical office environment; prior dental office experience is preferred
- Familiarity with Dentrix or other dental management software is highly desirable
- Experience with electronic medical records systems and medical terminology
- Supervising or team leadership experience within a healthcare setting is a plus
- Background in human resources, budgeting, or hospital/acute care environments will be advantageous
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced setting
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance standards related to dental practices

Pay: $17.20-$40.03 per hour
