Job Summary
Gable Enterprises Ltd is seeking a motivated and dependable Truss Delivery Driver to join our Norton team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely transporting trusses and building materials to various job sites across the Maritimes, ensuring timely deliveries and excellent customer service. Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks to deliver trusses and building materials to designated locations across NB, PEI, NS and Maine.
- Operating tandem trucks, semi trucks and hauling trailers.
- Load and unload materials using forklifts or manual handling techniques, ensuring proper securing of loads.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members to coordinate delivery schedules.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance with transportation regulations.
- Assist with warehouse duties such as moving materials within the yard or storage areas as needed.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, delivery receipts, and vehicle maintenance records.
- Maintain cleanliness of vehicle.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client questions professionally and ensuring their needs are met promptly.
Qualifications
- Valid class 1 license with clean abstract.
- Minimum 5 years experience preferred.
- Experience operating forklifts and handling heavy loads safely.
- Prior warehouse experience preferred, with familiarity in moving materials efficiently.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with team members and clients.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting regularly and work in physically demanding environments.
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to heavy equipment operation and transportation regulations.
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining high standards of safety and service excellence.
