Your Contribution
As a technician you will play a key role in providing repair, maintenance and set up for all power & manual related medical equipment. A day in the life of a technician includes:
· Ensure manufacturer’s guidelines and specifications are adhered to and that the equipment is safe to operate
· Maintain, clean, disinfect and repair equipment when required
· Inspect and test rental and loaner equipment prior to use by customers
· Set up of new product for customers and the show room
· Assist Shipping with assemblies for commodes, walkers, etc.
· Complete applicable paperwork such us order forms for parts, quality control checklist and completing work orders to ensure everything is completed on the equipment
· Enter billable hours into our system
· Ongoing restocking of supported parts as needed
· Follow Quality Control check procedures and provide completed checklist to Service Writer
· Keep work area clean and free of clutter
· Display respectful behaviour at all times to employees, clients, managers and stakeholders
Your Qualifications
- Mechanical aptitude
- Technical Training Certification from manufacturers like Sunrise Medical, Ki Mobility, TiLite, Motion Composites, Pride Mobility, Invacare, Permobil, etc., is an asset
- Experience with Windward POS system is an asset
- Strong mechanical aptitude and experience with hand and power tools
- Basic understanding of electronics
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, etc.)
- Capable of maintaining a high level of accuracy in data entry and paperwork management
- Minor fabrication or customization skills related to medical mobility equipment is an asset
- Ability to lift and carry up to 70 lbs
- Capable of standing for extended periods and moving throughout the facility
- Clear communication and a positive attitude
- Excellent time management and adaptability to shifting priorities
- Client-focused and committed to continuous learning and development
- Ability to problem solve relating to maintenance and repair
