Become part of the team at Cordova Bay Optometry, a boutique-style eye care clinic and optical in the heart of Matticks Farm, Cordova Bay. Our practice is dedicated to delivering comprehensive eye care while creating an inclusive, comfortable, and educational experience for every patient.
Your role will be to play a crucial part in providing exceptional patient care and support within our optometry practice, assisting in various tasks that enhance the patient experience, from optical dispensing and administrative work to supporting the optometrist during examinations. We are in our fourth year of operations and are eager to have our team members let us know where they want to evolve and grow within the office, including yourself.
Our optical focuses on more bespoke, unique, and independent eyewear and we are excited for each team member who comes along to be involved with meeting with reps to help evolve and curate our collection.

Duties
- Assist with optical sales by providing guidance on eyewear options and processing transactions.
- If interested, support the optometrist during eye examinations by leading contact lens trainings and treatments for dry eyes and macular degeneration.
- Provide patient education on treatment options prescribed by the optometrist.
- Help manage appointment scheduling and coordinate follow-up visits.
- Handling phone calls and managing patient inquiries.
- Ensure compliance with medical terminology and protocols during patient interactions.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient office operations.
- Administrative work as needed.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in an eye care setting.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records systems, particularly Optosys, is advantageous.
- Strong background in patient care with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of optical products and retail sales experience is a plus.
- Understanding of medical terminology related to optometry.
- Ability to multitask while maintaining attention to detail.
