Our elementary school in Durham Region of Ontario is dedicated to fostering a nurturing environment where students thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. We are seeking a passionate School Director to oversee daily operations, champion our educational framework, and lead our vibrant school community.
Key Responsibilities
Curriculum & Academic Oversight: Guide instructional standards, ensure a high-quality elementary curriculum, and mentor teaching staff to maintain academic excellence.
Staff Training & Development: Lead teacher recruitment, onboarding, and continuous professional development to ensure the highest standards of instructional quality.
Parent & Community Connections: Act as the primary bridge between home and school, fostering strong partnerships, open communication, and active parent involvement.
Student Engagement & Well-being: Drive initiatives that enrich the student experience, tracking progress and ensuring a safe, vibrant, and motivating learning environment.
Qualifications
Background: Proven administrative leadership experience in an school setting, with a strong focus on curriculum implementation and staff development. Knowledge of Ministry of Education curriculum strands.
Skills: Exceptional relationship-building skills with families, strong team management abilities, and strategic financial planning.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Education, Administration, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
Credentials: Valid Ontario school administration certifications or licenses are highly advantageous.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: From $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
