The Position
As a Structural Engineer-in-Training (EIT), you will work closely with the Structural Engineering team to support the planning, design, and delivery of structural projects.
Under the supervision of Professional Engineers, you will contribute to engineering analyses, design development, construction documentation, and field reviews while developing your technical and professional skills.
Projects may include modular housing, commercial buildings, industrial facilities, infrastructure projects, and developments in remote and northern communities.
Responsibilities
· Assist with structural assessments, feasibility studies, and design development for building and infrastructure projects
· Prepare structural calculations, analysis models, drawings, and technical documentation under the supervision of a Professional Engineer
· Support the preparation of construction documents and engineering reports
· Participate in site reviews and field inspections to verify construction progress and conformance with design intent
· Coordinate with multidisciplinary project teams, including mechanical, electrical, architectural, and civil disciplines
· Assist with project planning, scheduling, and technical coordination activities
· Contribute to the development of engineering solutions while maintaining compliance with applicable codes and standards
· Support proposal preparation, quantity take-offs, and technical studies as required
· Maintain accurate project records and documentation
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with a structural specialization, or Structural Engineering, from an accredited institution
· Registered as an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) with APEGA, or eligible for registration
· 0–4 years of relevant structural engineering experience
· Familiarity with structural analysis and design principles for steel, concrete, wood, and masonry structures
· Experience with AutoCAD and/or Revit is considered an asset
· Exposure to structural analysis software is considered an asset
· Working knowledge of the National Building Code of Canada (NBCC) and relevant CSA standards is considered an asset
· Strong written and verbal communication skills
· Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel occasionally for site visits

Pay: $60,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
