Level 2 Early Childhood Educator (Full-Time)

Tri-Community Childcare Centre is a not-for-profit organization committed to providing a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where children can learn, grow, and thrive. Opening in Fall 2026, we are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Level 2 Early Childhood Educator to join our team and help build a high-quality early learning program for families in our communities.
Position Summary
The Level 2 Early Childhood Educator is responsible for supporting the daily care, supervision, and development of children while fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment. Working collaboratively with the childcare team, the educator will implement age-appropriate activities that promote children's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
This is a full-time position, with shifts that may be scheduled during the morning or afternoon, based on operational needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide a safe, caring, and inclusive environment for children.
- Support the implementation of developmentally appropriate programming and activities.
- Supervise children during indoor and outdoor play, meals, rest periods, and transitions.
- Build positive relationships with children, families, colleagues, and community partners.
- Observe and document children's development and communicate progress with supervisors as required.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment.
- Follow all licensing regulations, centre policies, and health and safety requirements.
- Assist with daily routines and program operations as directed by the Director.
Qualifications
- Alberta Early Childhood Educator Level 2 Certification.
- Current First Aid and CPR Certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Clear Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
- A passion for supporting children's learning and development.
