Job Summary
The Production Manager oversees daily plant operations, ensuring compliance with policies while driving safety, quality, productivity, and cost efficiency.
Key Responsibilities: The primary duties and responsibilities of the Production Manager consist of, but are not limited to, the following:
- Demonstrate Amcor values and lead with professionalism at all times.
- Champion a safety-first culture; support, implement, and enforce safety programs and training.
- Coordinate manufacturing and distribution activities in alignment with corporate policies and procedures.
- Support and maintain ISO standards and Food Safety programs.
- Collaborate with vendor sales, technical teams, and internal sales to improve and expand manufacturing capabilities.
- Develop and execute plans to optimize the use of materials, equipment, and workforce.
- Monitor production processes to ensure efficiency, product quality, and performance targets are met.
- Review production costs and quality data; support improvements in production and inventory control systems.
- Act as Plant Director in their absence.
- Lead and develop 5–10 supervisors overseeing 100–300 employees; manage overall direction, coordination, and performance of plant operations.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or related field.
- 5+ years of manufacturing experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong leadership experience in a fast-paced environment.
