Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Automotive Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for applying high-quality paint finishes to vehicles, ensuring a professional appearance and adherence to safety standards. Responsibilities
- Prepare vehicles for painting by cleaning, sanding, and masking areas as needed
- Mix and match paint colors to achieve desired finishes, utilizing color matching tools
- Apply primer, base coats, clear coats, and other finishes using spray guns and hand tools
- Ensure proper surface preparation to achieve smooth, even paint application
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency
- Inspect finished work for quality control, making necessary touch-ups or corrections
- Follow safety protocols related to handling paints, solvents, and equipment
- Operate power tools and hand tools safely during the painting process
- Assist with vehicle repairs or mechanical tasks as needed, leveraging automotive repair knowledge
Experience
- Dealership experience is highly desirable but not mandatory
- Mechanical knowledge related to automotive repair enhances job performance
- Familiarity with hand tools and power tools used in automotive painting and repair
- Experience with heavy lifting and working with automotive parts or materials
- Prior mechanic experience is a plus, demonstrating versatility in automotive services
- Knowledge of automotive painting techniques and safety procedures is preferred
