Residence Inn by Marriott Halifax Downtown is an extended-stay hotel committed to providing exceptional service and creating a clean, comfortable, and welcoming environment for every guest. We are currently looking for reliable, detail-oriented Housekeepers to join our team.
Position Summary
We are hiring Part-Time, and Casual Housekeepers who take pride in maintaining high cleanliness standards and providing excellent guest experiences. If you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, have a positive attitude, and pay close attention to detail, we'd love to hear from you.
Responsibilities
- Clean and service guest rooms, bathrooms, and public areas according to Marriott brand standards
- Change bed linens and make beds
- Vacuum, dust, mop, and sanitize guest rooms and common areas
- Replenish guest room amenities and supplies
- Report maintenance issues or safety concerns promptly
- Ensure rooms are guest-ready and completed within required timeframes
- Respond to guest requests in a friendly and professional manner
- Follow all health, safety, and sanitation procedures
- Work collaboratively with the Front Desk, Maintenance, and Laundry teams
- Assist with deep cleaning projects as required
Qualifications
- Previous housekeeping or hotel experience is preferred but not required
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Friendly, professional, and guest-focused attitude
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and stand, bend, and walk for extended periods
Availability
- Open and flexible availability is preferred
- Weekend availability is strongly preferred
- Morning and daytime availability is required
- Ability to work holidays when scheduled
