Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Childcare Educator to provide a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children in our care. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood development and a strong commitment to supporting children's growth and learning. This role involves creating age-appropriate activities, fostering positive interactions, and ensuring the well-being of each child. The Childcare Educator will work closely with children, families, and team members to promote a supportive and educational atmosphere.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engaging, age-appropriate lesson plans and activities that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
- Provide attentive supervision to ensure the safety and well-being of all children at all times.
- Foster positive relationships with children, encouraging curiosity, independence, and confidence.
- Support children with special needs or disabilities by adapting activities and providing individualized care as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment that adheres to health and safety standards.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children's progress, behavior, and any concerns.
- Collaborate with team members to plan events, outings, and educational programs that enhance the children's learning experience.
- Follow all licensing regulations and company policies related to childcare practices.
Requirements
- Prior classroom experience working with children in early childhood settings.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities is preferred.
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and caregiving best practices.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with children, families, and team members.
- Compassionate, patient, and attentive demeanor focused on nurturing children's development.
- Ability to create a safe, inclusive environment that supports diverse needs.
- Relevant certifications in CPR/First Aid are a plus but not mandatory; training may be provided if necessary.
- Must be reliable, responsible, and committed to fostering a positive learning environment for young children.
Pay: From $15.00 per hour
Work Location: In person
